Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a referral to see a psychologist?

No. You can book directly with us at any time. If you'd like to claim a Medicare rebate, you'll need a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP — but you're welcome to start without one.

Can I get a Medicare rebate?

Yes. With a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP, you can claim a rebate on eligible sessions. We process the rebate on the spot, so you're only ever out of pocket for the gap.

What does a session cost?

Fees depend on the type of appointment. We're happy to talk you through the cost and any rebates you're entitled to before you book — just give us a call on 07 3063 5653.

How soon can I get an appointment?

We keep appointments available across weekdays including evenings, and often have times coming up soon. Get in touch and we'll find one that suits you.

What happens in the first session?

Your first session is simply a conversation. Your psychologist will take time to understand what's going on for you and what you'd like to change, then work with you to shape a plan. There's no pressure — you set the pace.

Is what I share confidential?

Yes. Your privacy and confidentiality are taken seriously and protected in line with all legal and ethical requirements. What you share stays between you and your psychologist, apart from the rare exceptions the law requires.

Do you offer online appointments?

Yes. We offer telehealth sessions Australia-wide, so you can get support from the comfort of home — no travel or parking required.
